How to Unstake Your hGRAM

When you’re ready to convert your hGRAM back into GRAM, you can unstake through the Hipo app or swap on a DEX.

Option 1: Unstake via Hipo App

Connect your wallet to the Hipo Web App or Telegram Mini App and select the option to unstake. This method has the lowest fees, and it offers two ways to process the unstake:

• Full — settled after the current validation round ends. Your GRAM keeps earning until then, so this gives you the better exchange rate. In some cases you may have to wait up to 36 hours if all of Hipo’s smart contract funds are locked during the staking rewards process.
• Instant — processed straight away at a slightly lower rate. It succeeds as long as Hipo is holding enough free GRAM to cover your request; the app shows the largest amount available for it.

Option 2: Swap via DEXs

If Instant unstaking cannot cover the amount you want, you can swap your hGRAM through decentralized exchanges (DEXs) like DeDust or Stonfi for a slightly higher fee. This is an alternative route to immediate GRAM that does not depend on Hipo’s own liquidity, though the rate you get is set by the pool rather than by the protocol:

Additionally, some wallets like Tonkeeper offer a feature where you can swap hGRAM for GRAM directly within the app.
